Chennai Gets Ready to Host "International Beach Volleyball tournament"-2010 in India. (27 Sep`10 to 2 Oct`10)
Some of the interesting features of Beach Volleyball tournament to be held are:
- To be held from (27 Sep`10 to 2 Oct`10)
- To be held at Elliots Beach, Chennai.
- To be organized by the Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) under the aegis of International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).
- Some of the participating countries are: America, Austria, Brazil, Croatia, Canada, Dubai, England, France, Finland, Italy, Israel, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, Libya, Malaysia, Switzerland, SriLanka, Spain, Thailand.
- The tournament will have 32 teams in the men’s event and 24 in the women’s, including Brazil, Australia, New Zealand and Russia amongst others.
- India is allowed to host three teams each in the men’s and women’s sections.
- The event will carry prize money totaling $70,000 which includes $40,000 for the men’s event, and $30,000 for the women.
