Meteorological Centre has announced that there are good prospects of rain in the next 24 hours in the Southern districts of Tamil Nadu.
Though the intensity of summer has been increasing in all the districts in the last week of March, there are prospects of rain due to the cyclonic trend of the winds in the higher strata of atmosphere.
It has been raining over the last 2 days in Thirunelveli, Tuticorin, and Kanyakumari districts.
Manimutharu in Thirunelveli district has recorded a rainfall of 2 cm.
There was a little respite from the scorching sun yesterday in Tamil Nadu with reduced heat. The highest temperature of 102.2 Degrees was recorded in Thirupathur.
Salem recorded 100.4 Degrees. Madurai recorded 99.68 Degrees. Trichy recorded 99.5 Degrees. Vellore recorded 98.6 Degrees. Chennai recorded 93.92 Degrees.
