Passports lost in the floods will be issued free of cost

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has mentioned that those of who have lost their passports in the Tamil Nadu rains and floods will be issued fresh passport free of cost.
Sushma Swaraj tweeted that passports lost, damaged in Chennai Floods will be re-issued free of cost at three PSKs in Chennai.
Because of heavy rains, the people of Tamil Nadu have lost their personal belongings. Students have lost their notebooks. Similarly many have lost their ration cards and passports. The Central Government has announced that fresh passports will be re-issued to those of who have lost their passports free of cost due to rains and floods.
