Railways to introduce smart coaches for more comfortable journey

Now rail journeys are going to be very pleasant since railways are planning to launch all-new smart coaches where travelers can avail of efficient ways of finding journey-related information along with more on-board comfort.
With plush interiors, the smart coaches will have GPS-based wake up alarm and LED-based reservation charts and berth indicators in reserved compartments along with Wi-Fi facility.The coaches will be equipped with passenger information systems with audio announcements in the day time and also interactive voice-based assistance from the train conductor.For enhanced comfort, there will be an on-board vending machine for water, coffee, tea and other drinks.
The coaches conceptualized by the railways will be fitted with laptop mobile phone charging points for each passenger, automatic doors and microprocessor-based AC units.
Modular bio-toilets will be fitted with sensitized taps and flushing systems, automatic soap dispensers and hand dryers. There will also be toilet engagement indicators. With focus on safety and security, there will be CCTV surveillance system and automatic fire and smoke detection and suppression systems.
