Next to Ola, it’s the turn to Uber to join into the bandwagon of ridesharing in the city. Uber has launched UberPool a new ridesharing mobile app. According to sources from the transportation network company, the company has got huge plans to widen its taxi operations in areas unexplored so far.

Speaking about this, Bhavik Rathod, the General Manager of Uber stated that the company has successfully expanded its services on GST Road, Mahindra World City. There has been multitudinous growth in the past one year. This success is followed by UberPool launch now.

To note, UberPool is already available in New Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Hyderabad where above 25 percent users opt for their services, and in Bangalore and Delhi, the usage is 20 percent.

UberPool is a win-win state benefitting both the commuters as well as the driver-partners. The commuters will be charged just half of the original trip charges. There will also be effective occupancy of seats.

Mr. Rathod said ridesharing is organized with a lot of data and algorithms that go in to match the riders whereby the users are least inconvenienced in travel time but get the maximum price benefit. Much of data and algorithm goes behind this ridesharing, says Mr. Rathod.
