Economy class airfare down from 1st July

While travelling by air, economy class is the lower-priced tickets available. In a measure to reduce this economy class airfare further and to attract more passengers to travel by air, the new GST system has reduced the tax from the prevailing 6 percent to 5 percent.
As GST is set to be implemented from 1st July, the change in flight fare economy class would also be effective from 1st July.
At the same time, however, the percentage tax for the business class and other class air fares have been taxed higher – from 9 percent to 12 percent. So, the passengers flying by these classes will have to pay more.
