Metro Rail workers remove construction debris and de-silt Adyar river

Metro Rail workers removed the debris blocking the flow of water along
Adyar river near Jafferkhanpet last week.
The report had says that the mud and other construction debris generated during the ongoing construction of Metro Rail bridge over Adyar river was being dumped into it thereby posing a risk of water flooding the adjoining areas during heavy rains.
There are about thousand families residing in adjoining Thiru Nagar, Sathyamurthy Block, Vasudevan Nagar, Pari Nagar and nearby areas.
