Teenager dies of medical negligence in Bangalore

A 16 year old boy has died in a Bangalore hospital for alleged overdose of anesthesia. Reports say that Abhishek Ramesh was admitted in Panacea Hospital for a liposuction but developed complications following an overdose of the anesthesia and died of a massive cardiac arrest. The parents have filed a complaint with the Basaveshwara Nagar police on the basis of medical negligence.
‘Based on the complaint lodged by the father of the boy, Basaveshwara Nagar police have registered a case against Dr Govardhan for causing death due to negligence under Section 304A of the IPC’, said the DCP (West), Dr. D.C. Rajappa.
