Marathon in Chennai for the education of girl child

Education should not be restricted to the boys and girl children’s should also get education!!
On Sunday, 2ND February, marathon took place near Mahindra World City or MWC and it attracted the attention of many. The marathon saw the participation of more than 8000 people and the main objective of the marathon was to support primary education of a girl child. This marathon that took place was the 7th edition and was inaugurated by Chengalpet collector Mr. John Louis
It must be noted that the marathon was held in association with Nanhi Kali and was appreciated by many for its superb cause.
Paranur railway station from where the marathon started was very busy with people yesterday. Other important personalities who were present apart from the Chengalpet collector were Mr. Tsuyoshi Moriya, senior vice-president (engineering), Renault Nissan Technology and Business Centre India or RNTBCI, Mr. Vaibhav Mittal, business head, MWC etc.
Later, Mr. Vaibhav Mittal, spoke about how the marathon has been getting great response and how the proceeds from the marathon would be donated to Nanhi Kali (a project managed jointly by Naandi Foundation and K.C. Mahindra Education Trust). It is important to mention that the marathon had different categories like 21 km, 10 km, 5 km and 3 km.
