Pilgrimage to Amarnath to commence on 23rd June!

The traditional and holy pilgrimage to have a Darshan of Lord Siva in the form of ‘Snow Linga’ at Amarnath, Jammu and Kashmir, is set to commence on 23rd June.
This sacred lingam is formed out of snow in the cave Amarnath located in Himalayas Jammu and Kashmir. As a tradition over long ages, lakhs of devotees visit Amarnath to have a Darshan of Lord Siva in the form of a ‘snow lingam’!
In this situation, the pilgrimage to Amarnath this year 2020 is scheduled to commence on 23rd June, as per the announcement released by the Jammu Raj Bhavan Office.
In a meeting conducted in this regard presided by the Jammu-Kashmir Governor Girish Chandra Murmu, the above sate of the commencement of pilgrimage to Amarnath was announced.
The pilgrimage is of 42 days’ duration and will conclude on 3rd August.
