Medical applications, Std. 12 results on same day

‘Coincidence’ said an official of the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) when asked about the date on which sale of applications for the next academic year begin. It so happens that the date is Thursday, the same day as the Std. 12 results will be announced.
The clash in dates has been awkward for parents of students who wish to be at two places at once. Says one parent, ‘“I would have liked to have been there with my daughter Priya, as she reads out her result. But I will be waiting first at KMC to buy her an application form.’
Applications for medical seats will be sold from May 9th till May 18th between 10 am and 5 pm. The applications will be available at government medical colleges across Tamil Nadu. For BDS applications, those interested must go to the Government Dental College.
