The onset of the Southwest Monsoon rainy season commenced in the State of Kerala today (Monday, 1st June). It rained heavily in several places including Thiruvananthapuram.
The cyclonic format which developed and stabilized over the upper layers of the atmosphere in the Southeast Arabian Sea has now transformed into a low-pressure zone.
The meteorological centers inform that this low-pressure zone is likely to intensify to transform into a depression zone.
This cyclone is expected to cross the coast between Goa and Mumbai.
It is informed that due to the above conditions, it is expected that strong winds will blow across the southwest coast and coastal zone of Kerala.
