Helpline calls to help improve city’s facilities

Posted on: 14/May/2013 2:29:50 PM
All calls made to the 1913 Chennai Corporation helpline will now be recorded. This will enable voice audit. The facility was launched by Chennai Mayor Saidai Duraiswamy. Corporation Commissioner Vikram Kapur was also present.

Mr. Duraiswamy addressed the personnel of the call centre and urged them to maintain ‘satisfaction reports’ on a daily basis. These reports would enable addressing issues of civic inadequacies and infrastructural problems.

‘The record of calls made will be scrutinised by senior officials including the Commissioner, and personnel who are found to have failed to respond properly to residents’ concerns will be penalised’, said an official.
