Further extension of 3 months to renew driving license!

The Central Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has ordered an extension of 3 months – up to 31st March 2021 - for renewing all the vehicle-related documents including the driving license.
Due t the prevailing coronavirus pandemic and the preventive lockdown imposition, this time extension has already been extended 3 times and as per the last extension, it is set to conclude on 31st December. Now, this has been extended for another 3 months.
In a notification released by the Central Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, it is mentioned:
“With the main objective of prevention of the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic, a time extension is being given until 31st March 2021 for vehicle ownership, driving license, and registration of the vehicles.
This time e3xtension applies to all vehicles – including those vehicles whose ownership/driving license expires during the period from 1st February 2021 to 31st March 2021 as well!
So, the concerned officials must consider that these vehicles documents including licenses are valid until 31st March. This extension will facilitate the vehicle drivers and the public t follow the coronavirus prevention guidelines including keeping social distancing!”
Hence, all States and Union Territories are advised to implement this above order immediately!
