TNTC runs out of books

Long queues were the flavor of the day at the TNTC (Tamil Nadu Text book Corporation) on Tuesday as many textbooks went out of stock.’ We are told that the books have been printed and are ready for distribution. But we do not know why we have not yet received them. Hence, we suspect a logistics problem as the obvious reason’, said a source.
However, an official of TNTC said, ‘The increased demand for books across the State was due to private schools purchasing the books in advance for distribution to their students so that the classes could begin in right earnest. We have also had many people purchasing the Plus-1 and Plus-2 books for preparation for the TET exams. We expect the situation to normalise in a week or so.’
