Lockdown extended in Tamil Nadu but with more relaxation! Details!

The prevailing lockdown extensions are set to conclude at 6.00 AM on 19th July, Giving due consideration of the situation warranting severe monitoring and control of the raging coronavirus pandemic for the public safety and health,
The following activities are banned until 6.00 am on 31st July:
- Interstate bus transport (except chennai-puducherry) continues to be banned.
- All international flights (except those permitted by the central ministry) continue to be banned.
- Movie theaters, all liquour bars, and swimming pools cannot function.
- Any gathering of people for social/political meetings/conferences continue to be banned.
- Events/programmes on entertainment/cultural/sports activities continue to be banned.
- Schools and colleges will still remain closed
- Spectators are still banned to visit zoological parks.
- As a strict measure to prevent corona spread, only 50 persons will be allowed to participate in weddings.
- Similarly, only 20 persons will be allowed to participate in death-related events/ceremonies.
- Except for the prevailing containment zones, the relaxations announced for other sections will continue.
- Giving due consideration to the importance of the job-seeking students after finishing school, all industrial training institutes and type-writing/shorthand centres are permitted to operate on a rotational basis with only 50% students while strictly following the preventive guidelines against the raging coronavirus pandemic.
- School teachers are permitted to attend school to facilitate the smooth progress of various important tasks such as admission, distribution of textbooks, preparation of syllabus, etc.
General
- Shops and the public gathering places must strictly follow the guidelines given below without fail:
- Hand-sanitizers must be kept at the entrance of the shops for the customers and thermal screening must be done for the body temperature.
- The shop personnel and the customers must wear face masks and the administration must ensure this!
- In locations where air-conditioners are used, all the doors and windows must be kept open for proper ventilation. Social distancing must be strictly observed. More citizens should not be allowed inside at the same time!
- When the buyers are waiting outside the shop, locations for the citizens to stand while keeping social distance must be marked.
