Why have the pre-placement offers at IIT-Madras now caught the attention of many?

IIT M or Indian Institute of Technology Madras located in Guindy is a premier educational institution and it has been producing many highly talented engineers and technologists for many decades. The pre-placements offers or PPO’s at IITM this time around have been sensational and this has caught the attention of many now.
During the 2021-22 academic year as many as 227 PPOS have been extended to the students of IITM. In the previous academic year in 2020-21, only 186 PPOs were there for the students. The performance of the students has been superb in the pre-placement in this 2021-22 academic year. The press release from IITM had mentioned that a summer internship process organised in online mode to connect students and industries has been responsible for increase in the PPOs now.
The release added that till 5th of November there 227 PPOs were extended to the IITM students in the academic year 2021-22
