Why DD Podhigai channels upcoming new serial is making amazing news now?

Many in the present generation do not know about the roles played by several freedom fighters in India getting freedom. To make these present generation kids and others know about these great personalities, DD Podhigal channel would be telecasting a serial for 75 weeks beginning from 20th of August.
This serial named `Swaraj` would bring to light the history of various freedom fighters and would be telecast in Tamil HD language from 8 pm in the evening on all Saturdays. Information is that the serial would be re-telecasted every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 3pm, 4pm and 9 pm respectively.
In the 75 week serial, the life history of 75 unsung heroes of Indian Freedom Movement including those from TN would be brought out. For the present day kids in Tamil Nadu who do not have any idea regarding who Veera Pandia Kattabomman, Velu Nachiyar and Pulithevan are, the upcoming 75 weeks serial would throw some light on these sensational freedom fighters.
The contribution of Tamil Nadu towards the freedom movement would be highlighted by an exclusive serial on DD Podhigai channel later on. This was pointed out by Mr. Rafique Baasha, Chennai Doordarshan Kendra, Assistant Director (Programmes).
To mark the completion of 75 glorious years of Independence, DD News Chennai has got plans to conduct more programmes. This was according to Mr. B. Gurubabu, Chennai DD News director.
It is known that on 15th of April in the year 1993 Doordarshan Kendra`s Chennai (Chennai Tholaikatchi Nilayam) regional satellite network came into existence.
