How about hearing the famous Tamil patriotic song `Paarkullae Nalla Naadu` in Arabic? Sound`s unimaginable right!!
Yesterday, 15th of August 2023, India celebrated its 77th Independence Day. The sensational news is that the dept of Arabic, Urdu and Persian belonging to the Madras University or MU has added a different touch to the 77th Independence Day celebrations.
The dept released a music video teaser of the famous Tamil poet Subramania Bharathi`s patriotic song `Paarukullae Nalla Naadu` on an Arabic translation .
It must be noted that S. Gowri VC of MC released the teaser as a aprt of the department`s Independence Day celebrations held in collaboration with the TN State Urdu Academy. Various important personalities who were present at the time of the teaser release were Gingee Mr. KS. Masthaan, minister for Minorities Welfare and former Judge of HC of Madras Mr. GM. Akbar Ali plus few others etc.
It is learnt that the teaser of the 5:30 minute patriotic song titled ` Afdhalu Dawla Ardhuna Alhind` was directed and translated by Jahir Hussain who is the HOD of Arabic, Urdu and Persian in MU. The music was composed by Mr. Ubaid Kunnakkavu. As per Mr. Jahir Hussain, Tamilians and Arabicians share a unique linguistic bond for more than 2000 years. Jai Hind!!
