Southern Railway Announces Special Festival Trains Between Tambaram and Nagercoil

In anticipation of the upcoming festival season, Southern Railway has unveiled a special train service connecting Tambaram and Nagercoil. Commencing from September 15, 2023, these weekly superfast special trains are set to provide a convenient travel option for passengers during the festive holidays.
The weekly superfast special train with number 06041 will depart from Tambaram at 7:30 PM on September 15, 22, 29, October 6, 13, 20, and 27. It is scheduled to arrive at Nagercoil at 7:10 AM the following day.
For the return journey, train number 06042 will leave Nagercoil at 4:30 PM on September 16, 23, 30, October 7, 14, 21, and 28, and is expected to reach Tambaram at 4:10 AM the next day.
These special trains will feature a well-rounded selection of coaches to accommodate passengers, including one AC II tier, six AC III tier, nine sleeper class, two general second class, and two second class coaches.
