Applications for correction of the Voters List can be submitted even before the release of the Draft Voters List!

Tamil Nadu Election Commission Chief Satyapradha Sahu has informed that citizens are free to apply online at any time for the addition or deletion of names, even before the scheduled release of the Draft Voters` List.
Citizens have the opportunity to request corrections to the Voters` Identity List, such as adding or removing names, changing addresses, cell phone numbers, etc., starting from October 27th. The Draft Voters` List is also set to be released on the same day.
Therefore, citizens can take advantage of the opportunity to submit applications to update their details on the Voters` List using the respective application forms starting from October 27th.
Additionally, the Indian Election Commission has arranged for online correction activities throughout the year. Consequently, Tamil Nadu Election Commission Chief Satyapradha Sahu has informed citizens that they can make corrections online at their convenience.
Here`s a brief explanation of the different application forms:
- To add names, use Form-9.
- For Indians settled abroad, Form-7 should be used for additions, deletions, changes of address, etc.
- When shifting residence from one constituency to another or within the same constituency, use Form-8.
The process of linking Aadhar cards with Voters` ID cards is still ongoing, with citizens voluntarily providing their Aadhar card details for this purpose. To do so, please use Form-6B. It`s important to note that these tasks can be completed from October 27th for a month and can be carried out online at any time on the official website of the Indian Election Commission.
