Karthigai Deepam 2024: Bharani Deepam Lit at Thiruvannamalai Arunachaleswarar Temple

The sacred Bharani Deepam was lit early this morning at the Arunachaleswarar Temple as part of the Karthigai Deepam festival 2024. Special Abishegam and Dheeparathanai were performed after the temple opened.
At 3:30 AM, the Bharani Deepam was lit inside the Lord`s shrine. A yagam was conducted at the Artha Mandapam, where twenty Bharani Deepams were lit by Sivasariyargal and displayed to devotees. A large number of people participated in the procession and worshiped the holy lamp.
The festival’s highlight, the Maha Deepam, will be lit atop the 2,668-foot Thiruvannamalai hill at 6:00 PM this evening, drawing thousands of devotees.
