he Union government has increased the price of domestic LPG cylinders by ₹50. Under the Ujjwala scheme, a 14.2 kg cylinder will now cost ₹550, while non-Ujjwala users will pay ₹853.
Meanwhile, excise duty on petrol has been raised to ₹13/litre and diesel to ₹10/litre. However, this hike will not affect retail prices, as it will be absorbed by oil marketing companies.
Last week, commercial LPG cylinder prices were reduced by ₹41, benefiting restaurants and commercial users.
These changes will take effect from April 8, 2025.
