Special Employment camp is being held today in Tondiarpet

On behalf of Tamil Nadu State Government a mega special employment camp is being held at Madras Port Trust grounds at Tondiarpet falling under R.K. Nagar constituency. The camp will be conducted jointly by the Labour and Employment Department, and Chennai District Administration. Around 300 companies in Chennai, Kancheepuram, and Tiruvallur districts will recruit personnel for over 20,000 jobs.
The State government will hold a special employment camp in Chennai today in which 300 leading companies will participate to recruit personnel for over 20,000 jobs.
The camp will be held between 8 AM to 5 PM.
Candidates who have passed Standard VIII, SSLC, HSC, degree, ITI, polytechnic, and technical education may participate.
As per last night`s statistics 65,000 candidates have registered through online. It has been announced that candidates who have not registered can also participate in the camp.
It is expected that about 80,000 candidates will participate in this camp. More than two thousand police have been deployed for security purposes. Drinking water and toilets have also been provided.
State ministers P Mohan, Valarmathi and S Gokula Indira inaugurated the camp at 8 AM.
