Apple overhauling stores across the world, first new model store to open on Saturday in San Francisco

Apple will soon have a new look for its stores. The company has decided to overhaul almost 480 stores world wide. The first store to be remodelled is a new two storey location in San Francisco. On The occasion of the 15th anniversary of its first stores in Virginia and California, the iPhone maker showed people a glimpse of its new and improved retail store. Apple’s stores are known for their elegant design and their well informed employees who roam the floor offering assistance.
Speaking about this, a longtime Apple analyst said, Despite their success, the stores have been growing stale. This is a chance to reimagine a retailing concept that Apple had already nearly perfected.
The sales of both iPhones and iPads have been falling, although the company remains the world’s most valuable company. The reason for this has been the users hold off upgrading to newer devices. The trend has resulted in an almost 30% drop in Apple’s stocks.
The new store in San Francisco is scheduled to open on Saturday. Reports say the the store has the ambience of a town square. The people visiting the store can gaze through giant windows that will show the city. There is said to be a 42 foot tall sliding glass door that opens up to the shopping district in San Francisco.
Speaking about this, Apple’s retailing chief said, This is a company statement, not just a retail store. Unless they’re in San Francisco, most Apple fans won’t be able to see the new look for a while. The Cupertino, California, company plans to convert about 5 to 10 per cent of its existing stores to the concept annually. Some stores will probably have to be moved from their current locations in malls to accommodate all the changes. It is kind of our fault that retail is changing. Therefore, we realised that we needed to do something different with our physical space.
