Chennai Meteorological Centre: Prospects of rain in Tamil Nadu in next 2 days

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are high prospects of rain in Tamil Nadu in the next 2 days.
The director of Chennai Meteorological Centre Mr. Balachandran had a session with the press reporters. A brief:
A cyclonic format has developed over the central-west part of Bay of Bengal. Because of this, it has rained heavily in Tamil Nadu, especially in Kanchipuram, Chennai, and Thiruvallur districts.. A maximum rainfall of 6 cm has been recorded in Nungambakkam.
There may be rains for the next 2 days in a few places in South Tamil Nadu and rain in the evening or night in North Tamil Nadu.
Chennai Metro will remain cloudy. It might rain in Chennai in the evening or night.
