Date of local administration election to be announced on 19th September

The tenure of the current representatives in the local administration ends on 24th October. The state Election Commission is planning to conduct the election for the new members before 24th October.
The voters list used during the last Assembly election has been taken as the reference and the ward-wise segregating activity was in progress. This has now been completed.
Arrangements have been made for the inclusion of the new voters if applied.
The government has allocated Rs. 183 Crores for the elections in Tamil Nadu.Preparatory activities for the election are in full swing in all the districts.
So, it is gathered that the date of the election for the local administration may be announced on Monday, 19th September.
