5.80 crore voters will vote in the local body elections in Tamil Nadu

After obtaining the state assembly elections voters list from Indian Election Commission, the Tamil Nadu Election Commission in association with the National Information Centre has prepared the photo voters list for the local body elections.
Accordingly there are 2.88 crore male voters, 2.92 crore women voters and 4584 other gender voters. On the whole there are 5.80 crore voters.
In the rural areas, there are 1.59 crore male voters, 1, 60 crore female voters and 1629 other gender voters. On the whole there are 3.19 crore voters in rural areas. In urban areas there are 2.6 crore voters (1.29 male voters, 1.32 crore women voters and 2955 other gender voters).
