EPFO develop apps for pensioners and PF subscribers

Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) will soon develop a mobile app for withdrawing pension money. The app for pensioners is expected to reduce the enormous amount of paperwork and time taken to process applications. Verification will be done through electronic know your customer (e-KYC) using the Aadhaar number. As a first, the organisation has started moving data from its 123 offices across the country to a central server in its Delhi office.
The app will also let you apply for a loan with the EPFO and the entire process will be possible without visiting the regional office.
The EPFO expects to roll out the apps in the next two months.
