Grand Goethe Water Walkathon on Sunday (13th Nov)

As a part of the German Students’ Week 2016, the Goethe Institut (Max Mueller Bhavan) will organize a Walkathon finale on Sunday, 13th November from 7.00 am to 9.00am. The walk will start and end at the Santhome Lighthouse covering a distance of 4km.
Around 5000 students from 60 different schools including 20 corporation schools will partake in this walkathon, which will draw attention to various issues being faced by the public. Example, Water conservation, storm water drainage, non-motorised transport, waste management, etc. Each school will carry placards which highlights different aspects of water issues faced by the common man in Chennai.
Goethe Institut, Chennai celebrates German Students’ Week 2016 from 09th to 13th November. It is a week long program, which has competitions and events for Schools in Chennai and Tamil Nadu.
