Prime Minister sudden announcement creates a great panic amongst the people

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes won’t be legal tender from midnight Tuesday there was heavy rush at the ATMs in Chennai to withdraw Rs 100 notes. In between it has been announced that the new currency notes will be released tomorrow.
 
After the Prime Minister’s announcement thousands of people rushed to the nearest ATMs in a desperate attempt to get hold of Rs 100 denomination notes and to deposit the 500 and 1,000 notes with them.There was heavy traffic congestion because people parked their vehicles in front of ATMs. It could be seen that the people were very easily transacting Rs 500 notes in the restaurants.
 
It has been announced that the petrol bunks can fill petrol accepting Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes but the petrol bunks were closed last night. In some of the petrol bunks they did not retun the balance amount. Shops and supermarkets refused to accept Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes. 
 
There was a great panic amongst the people because of the Prime Minister’ sudden announcement. From today exchange the notes from a bank or post office till 24 November. The limit for exchange is Rs. 4000. Take Aadhaar card and PAN Card when you go to exchange notes.
 
New notes of Rs 2000 and Rs 500 will be introduced tomorrow.
