Next two days looks good for veppa salanam rains in Tamil Nadu, before formation of low pressure in North Bay of Bengal. KTCC (Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, Changalpat ,Chennai) will see action packed nights for next two days. Hopefully we need luck to fall in the path of the incoming storms. Lets enjoy the rains to fall in the next two days

The days before formation of low in Bay of Bengal are the best for KTCC rains. With monsoon winds falling in Kerala side. Next two days looks damn good for sea breeze to come in and create that convergence and once the low forms in Bay after that and moves in along the axis (dipping down) reaching Gujarat / Pakistan.
Pattern will be interiors will see rains in evening-early parts of nights and the clouds will move towards coastal regions at night. After formation of low on 26th night, the rains will gradually reduce in Tamil Nadu form 27th July.

Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Kallakuruchi, Cuddalore, Pondy, Delta, and hot spot of madurai-sivanga-pudukottai stretch, Salem all have chance for rains. Remember these are always hit or miss types and does not cover entire districts. Nearby districts too have chance.

Reduced rains to be seen in Kerala, TN ghats and Cauvery catchments in coming days.

Salem got good rains atlast. While rains in ghats of Nilgiris, Valparai, Kerala and Cauvery Catchment has reduced. Not much heavy activity will be seen Kerala and TN ghats in coming days except some isolated rains on daily basis.
Maharashtra ghats and Gujarat to see heavy rains with monsoon low moving in and dragging the moist monsoon winds upwards from Kerala and Karnataka. Mumbai to see many active day today and rains with breaks till Friday.
Inflows into Dams

Kabini Dam is seeing highest inflow of the year with 10600 cusecs with heavy rains in wayanad in past one week. It will come down slowly in coming days. KRS dam too is getting 7000 cusecs inflow with good rains in Kodagu in last one week. Mettur today morning inflow increased to 2100 cusecs from the water released from KRS and Kabini dam.
