One of the globally leading multimedia networking organisations, WhatsApp has announced that WhatsApp cannot be used in some specific old mobile phones from February 2020.
Around 150 Crores people all over the world are WhatsApp users. WhatsApp is owned by the other leading social multimedia networking company, Facebook. WhatsApp has grown fabulously over the recent years to be an integral necessity in the advancing field of telecommunication!
It is worthwhile noting that WhatsApp has striven to improve the features in the package by solving some of the issues and introducing new features regularly. These changes/improvements come into effect as soon as formed/solved. Because of these regular updates, it has emerged that WhatsApp cannot be used any longer in some of the old mobile phones. Accordingly, WhatsApp has come up with the announcement that WhatsApp may not function in some specific old mobile models from February 2020.
To be specific, it is mentioned that WhatsApp will not be available on cell phones operating on Android-2.3.7 and Apple IOS-7 platforms.
It is further informed that even the information on the App cannot be accessed on these old cell-phones from 1st February.
Also, WhatsApp will not function on cells operating on Microsoft platforms from 1st January 2020.
It may be noted that there are only 0.3% of the total cell phones in use which operates on Android-2.3.7. Similarly, only 7% of the cells operate on IOS-7 platform.
With the above noteworthy fact, the technology experts in this field observe that this latest announcement may not affect the cell operations to a great extent!
