Robochef : World first automated kitchen designed by Mr Saravana Sundaramoorthy

A few years back, if anybody had told that it was possible to cook as many as 600 recipes of Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai cuisine etc in less time than required and that too without LPG and with less water, then it would have been considered as a joke.
Now, the truth is it is possible to do the above mentioned easily. Thanks to Robochef, the world’s first automated kitchen. The only manual intervention required is to place the ingredients inside various hoppers and the press of the button takes care of the cooking.
On Thursday, Chennai based engineer cum innovator, Mr Saravana Sundaramoorthy launched his latest innovation and it grabbed many eyeballs. A team of 12 engineers worked hard for a period of 5 and a half years to develop this Robochef. This was according to Mr Saravana Sundaramoorthy. He explained how Robochef could be pre-programmed to cook as many as 600 recipes in various cuisines.
As many as 28 types of biriyani, vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries, desserts like Kesari, payasam could be made using this automated kitchen. It is worth mentioning that Robochef has been programmed to do various activities like cleaning and chopping vegetables, grinding spices, cooking the ingredients in the right proportions by using sensors.
