Nine Anna University-Affiliated Engineering Colleges to Close Due to Low Enrollment and Infrastructure Issues!

Nine engineering colleges affiliated with Anna University in the state will soon be closed due to inadequate student enrollment and lack of infrastructure.
Last year, 11 such engineering colleges were shut down.
Currently, over 460 engineering colleges are affiliated with Anna University in the state. Out of these, 433 colleges will participate in the engineering admissions for the academic year 2024-25.
There are 232,000 vacancies for BE and B.Tech courses.
Counseling for these courses is underway today.
