Here comes a sensational piece of information regarding a new programme for the students from the prestigious Anna University in Chennai!!
The news is that AU has introduced a Master`s programme for the students in CAM or Computer Aided Management under RUSA or Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan. The centre has given its approval regarding this new programme.
It is noteworthy that RUSA 2.0 (2023- 2026) is a scheme from the Ministry of Education that would focus on quality, equity and access for the sake of higher education. Various objectives behind this scheme are improving governance in institutions, promoting autonomy in state universities, increasing state spending on higher education, reducing student-teacher ratio and increasing GER or gross enrolment ratio.
As many as 40 students would be picked by Anna University for pursuing masters in CAM. Information is that the course would be conducted from the last week of February till the first week of March.
It was later revealed by a senior professor from AU that the course would be applicable to the students from Anna University College of Engineering or COE, Alagappa College of Technology or ACT, School of Architecture and Planning or SAP and Madras Institute of Technology or MIT. Point is that all the curriculum development programmes would be conducted for Rs 15 cr under RUSA 2.0.
It must be noted that under the research, innovation and quality improvement scheme RUSA 2.0a project titled Electric Vehicle Technologies - Smart Material Characteristics, Manufacturing and Grid Management is being carried out for Rs 35 cr.
