Number of Diabetics in India increases by a whopping 123% as compared to 1990!

With the changing lifestyle aided by latest gadgets & faculties, there is a corresponding rise in the number of diseases as well!

The unforeseen number of diabetics in India has developed into a really huge problem! A survey establishes that there was an increase of 45% in the number of diabetics all over the world during the period 1990-2013. In India, the increase in the number of diabetics for this period has been a whopping high of 123% as compared to the worldwide figure of 45%!

The department of Health measurement and estimation of Washington University conducted this survey on a worldwide basis. The survey records that 188 countries across the world were affected by 301 diseases.

There was not much change in the figures pertaining to the developed countries. However, developing countries such as India, China, and Mexico have recorded an increase in some specific diseases. Especially, Type-2 Diabetes has been prominently widespread.

Medical experts have explained that the undesirable system of eating & sleeping habits caused by economic growth and the new faculties have the main cause of the increases in diabetes patients.

Consumption of fast food items, unlimited working hours, lack of physical exercise, consumption of alcohol, and mental tension are the reasons cited for the phenomenal increase of diabetics in India!

The survey by Washington University also establishes that diseases like malaria, tuberculosis, and cancer were also on the rise!
