Do you have back acne?

Acne on the back is the same type of acne you find on the face, but it can be more aggressive and painful as sebaceous glands on the back produce more oil. Fuelled by androgens, such as testosterone, the sebaceous glands in the upper back (particularly behind the shoulders) start to overproduce oil.

This starts to congest the pores, making an ideal breeding ground for propionibacterium acnes, which is the acne-causing bacterium responsible for pimples and inflammation.

Men spending tons of time in the gym can end up wreaking havoc on their  skin. The key to giving body acne the boot - and keeping it gone - is staying super clean. Men`s number one target: sweat. It clogs the pores, trapping oil and dead skin cells inside, which leads to zits and painful cystic acne not only on the face, but also on there back, arms, and legs.

Treatment
  • Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid that works to dissolve the top layer of cells and also reduce sebaceous follicle blockages that lead to breakouts. It also has antimicrobial properties, which makes it very effective for caring for acne-prone and acne-erupted skin.
  • Retinoids are a form of vitamin A. They clear out the oil and debris that are clogging your pores.
  • An isotretinoin. Commonly known by its brand name Accutane, this highly effective prescribed pill treats acne by regulating cell turnover, by reducing skin inflammation and by decreasing sebum production. It should only be used after other acne treatments have been tried and failed. This drug can cause birth defects in humans; thus, women are advised not to become pregnant while taking this medication.
  • Topical or oral antibiotics. Topical antibiotics, such as clindamycin, and oral antibiotics, such as tetracycline, reduce inflammation and minimize bacterial growth.
  • Birth control pills. They help regulate hormones.
  • Spironolactone. It`s a pill that helps rid your body of unneeded water and it also works as a hormone blocker.
  • Photodynamic therapy (PDT). It uses light treatments to destroy bacteria that cause breakouts. Treatments can be performed in a doctor’s office, but there are also effective, handheld blue light therapy devices that you can use at home.
Acne Precautions in Everyday Life

Diet
  • Avoid an unbalanced diet as much as possible.
  • When eating out, where meals tend to be high in sugar and fat content, choose foods with a good nutritional balance.
  • Animal fats are a great enemy of acne. Eat green and yellow vegetables.
  • Excessive fat and sugar activate sebum secretion, which worsens acne.
  • Avoid using tobacco and drinking too much coffee or alcohol.
  • Indulgences like these not only aggravate acne, they also stress the body and consume vitamin C, slowing recovery.
  • Going out and personal appearance
  • Learn the proper way to apply makeup, if you wear it.
  • Oil-based foundation is not good because it interferes with normal skinin respiration and sebum secretion. Remove your makeup soon after coming home.
  • Do your hair so that it does not brush against your acne.
  • Trying to hide acne on your forehead with your bangs is counterproductive. It can make your forehead less clean, and the hair irritates your acne, making it worse.
Face washing and grooming
  • Wash your face gently and thoroughly with soap.
  • Wash your face twice daily - once each in the morning and evening. Work the soap into a lather to wash away pore-clogging sebum.
  • If you work up a sweat, wash your face or body right away and keep it always clean.
  • Sweating makes it easy for dirt to stick to your skin. If you have acne on your back, take a shower to rinse the sweat off or wipe the sweat off with a towel.
  • Use a facial moisturizer as a daily basic skincare.
  • People with pimply skin often secrete a lot of sebum, and so just minimal moisturizer is enough for everyday basic skincare.
Sleep
  • Staying up late is not good! Get plenty of sleep and keep regular hours.
  • Staying up late throws metabolism out of order, causing old keratin to clog pores, which has a negative impact on the skin.
Dealing with acne scars

It`s a common side effect of acne. It can be treated with help of scar revision treatment like derma roller, Rf pixel, Co2 lasers.
