Belonging to family named ‘Juglandaceae’, pecans is a species of hikory nut. Pecans are found mostly in south-central northern America.

Pecan nuts have contoured structure plus crunchy texture and buttery flavour and it is for these reasons they are used to prepare many dishes. Seen growing enclosed in brownish red oval shell, peacans are related to walnuts.

Peacans have many ingredients such as fat, protein, carbohydrate, fibres, vitamins A. E K, etc. There are minerals like calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, zinc, selenium, copper etc in peacans.
