Mamallapuram, or Mahabalipuram, is a town on a strip of land between the Bay of Bengal and the Great Salt Lake, in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It was built by the Pallava dynasty and is world famous for its temples and monuments. In fact, Mamallapuram is referred as an 'open-air museum'. Ubbalamudugu Falls, also called Tada Falls, is a waterfall located near Oneness Temple and Sricity in the Chittoor district of India. This comes under the Buchinaidu kandriga and Varadaiahpalem mandals. The falls are located 80 kilometres (50 mi) from Chennai and 35 kilometres (22 mi) from Srikalahasti. Siddulaiah Kona is the name of the forest in which TADA fall is located. The location has a link with Lord Siva. So, it is a popular tradition for the people to visit TADA falls on the occasion of Maha Sivarathri. The place has fast become famous as a trekking spot as well for which a large number of tourists come. |

Arignar Anna Zoological Park, also known as the Vandalur Zoo, is a zoological garden located in Vandalur, a suburb in the southwestern part of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It is located about 31 kilometres from the city centre and 15 kilometres from Chennai Airport. The park, also known by the abbreviated form AAZP, India's largest zoo in terms of an area covering 1,300 acres. It was originally set up in 1855 (in a different place) and was the first public zoo in India. It is affiliated with the Central Zoo Authority of India. It is spread over an area of 602 hectares (1,490 acres). It includes a 92.45-hectare (228.4-acre) rescue and rehabilitation centre. The park is the largest zoological garden in India. The zoo houses 2,553 species of flora and fauna across 1,265 acres (512 ha). The park houses around 1,500 wild species, including 46 endangered species, in its 160 enclosures. This covers 47 species of mammals, 63 species of birds, 31 species of reptiles, 5 species of amphibians, 25 species of fishes, and 10 species of insects in the park. |

Pulicat Lake Bird Sanctuary is a famous 481 sq km area located in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh and Protected area in Thiruvallur District of Tamil Nadu state in South India. Pulicat Lake is the second largest brackish-water eco-system in India after Chilka lake in Orissa. Pulicat is one of the natural harbours of South India. Vedanthangal Bird Sanctuary is a 30-hectare protected area located in the Kancheepuram District of the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The sanctuary is about 75 kilometres from Chennai on National Highway 45, south of Chengalpattu. More than 40,000 birds (including 26 rare species), from various parts of the world, visit the sanctuary during the migratory season every year. It was converted into a sanctuary in 1798 under the British Rule. A wide range of migratory birds, including pintail, garganey, grey wagtail, blue-winged teal, and common sandpiper. Vedanthangal is the oldest water bird sanctuary in the country. The region attracts a variety of birds because it is dotted with small lakes that acted as feeding grounds for the birds. |

Nagalapuram is a village in Chittoor district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the mandal headquarters of Nagalapuram mandal. This town is home to Vedanarayanaswamy temple, where the presiding deity Lord Vishnu is in the form of Matsya, the first incarnation of Dasavatara. The temple reflects the vijayanagara architectural style. The sanctum sanctorium has Vedanarayana Swamy facing West with his consorts sridevi and Bhoodevi on either side.The temple annual festival, Brahmotsavam, is celebrated on a grand scale.Temple architecture is done in such a way that during these three days, the sun rays fall on the main deity feet, navel and forehead called as "Suriya Pooja".
