This temple is the main spot to visit in Rameswaram, a place dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is one of the Jyotirlinga Temples built during the 17th century. The temple has many mythological reference in Ramayanam. It has the name of longest temple corridor in the World ranging from 133 meters breadth to 197 meters length respectively. There are 1200 grand granite columns inside the corridor and so making it an architectural wonder with a rich history. |

Dhanushkodi literally means the end of a bow is the tip of the Pamban Island, a south-eastern tip of Tamil Nadu.
