The winds blowing from the east towards Tamil Nadu tend to drift immediately towards the north. Due to this, the winds blowing from the east in the interior districts of Tamil Nadu are rather weak!

A temperature of over 100 Degrees has been recorded yesterday (8th March) in 8 cities in Tamil Nadu. A maximum temperature of 106 Degrees was recorded at Madurai Airport.

As a high temperature of over 100 Degrees Fahrenheit is prevailing at Karur though this is just the onset of summer, it is to be naturally expected that the intensity of heat may reach unbearable levels during the coming days.
