Chennai rains to remain light, to intensify by Dec 5
The city of Chennai has recorded heavy rains on November 30 and December 1. These rains were due to the cyclone that intensified into a severe cyclonic storm and crossed Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Very severe Cyclone Ockhi to intensify, Lakshadweep to get very heavy rains
The very severe Cyclonic Storm Ockhi over Lakshadweep area and adjoining Southeast Arabian sea has moved west northwestwards with a speed of 12 kmph during the last 6 hours.

Low pressure in Andaman Sea intensifies into well-marked low, Depression likely in 48 hrs
The fresh low pressure area that had appeared over South Andaman Sea has now further intensified into a well marked low pressure area over south Andaman Sea and adjoining strait of Malacca.
