Rajasthan is a region of majestic palaces and beautiful lakes
which capture all the romance and splendour of the royal era. In
our view, cricket is about to enter a new regal era. The name
'Rajasthan Royals' is to honour Rajasthan's regal elegance,
style, valour and class. In the olden times, the Rajputs of
Rajasthan were famous for their courage, strength and fighting
prowess. Our team embodies the same spirit.
Jaipur, with its state-of-the-art stadium and academy, is the
perfect setting for the Royals. It has served as the base for
our Cricket Star programme, and Greg Chappell's presence simply
summarises the global standing of this cricket destination.
The team logo has a lion to reflect the King, might, raw energy
and the power of the royals. The logo also includes the war horn
which denotes the war cry, the call to war and the sound that
the enemies will come to fear. The RR is a symbol of the crown
and the ultimate sign of royalty. The Royal Medallion is the
symbol of the clan's pride, the war horns raised in full glory
in readiness of the imminent war.
