The distribution of application forms for admission to the Siddha, Ayurveda, and Unani courses will commence in June.
There are 6 government colleges in the Department of Indian Medicine and Homeopathy.
Further, there are 6 private Siddha medical colleges, 4 private Ayurveda medical colleges, 9 private Homeopathy colleges, and 4 private Yoga and Nature-cure colleges in the state for a total of 22 private medical colleges.
In the government colleges, keeping aside the 15 percent quota for All India allotment, the balance 85 percent seats are with the state government. Apart from this, the state government has a quota of 1000 seats available in the 22 private colleges mentioned above.
The distribution of application forms to apply joining these courses – Siddha, Ayurveda, Unani, Yoga and Nature-cure, Homeopathy for the academic year 2017-18 will start from June.
The officials from the department of Indian Medicine and Homeopathy informed that from the next year onwards, the admission for these courses will be done on the basis of NEET.
