As a part of the various preventive measures being undertaken, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, E. Palaniswamy, has ordered the immediate appointment of 530 doctors and 1000 nurses.
Today (Friday, 27th March), Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a telephonic conversation/review with the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister regarding the status of the various preventive activities undertaken.

The Prime Minister called the Chief Minister at 10.00 AM today (Friday, 27th March). The Chief Minister explained in full detail on the status of the various coronavirus preventive activities. Prime Minister Modi emphasized that 144 should be followed strictly, it must be ensured that the citizen keeps isolated by themselves, and it must also be ensured that all essential commodities are easily available to the citizens. The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister responded in detail that all the activities are being taken care of fully well!
In this scenario, the Chief Minister ordered the immediate appointment mentioning that as a preventive activity against the raging coronavirus spread, 500 doctors, 1000 nurses, and 150 Lab Technicians must be appointed immediately. All vacancies must be filled up immediately in this regard. The persons appointed through the Indian Medical Council must join within 3 days. 200 new ambulances must be immediately brought into service.
