Manufacture of 10000 non-air conditioned compartments for passengers benefit!!

The railway officials have informed that in the next 2 years 10000 non air-conditioned coaches would be manufactured for the sake of the passengers.
It is a known fact that everyday more than 13000 passenger trains are being operated by the Indian Railways. In these trains, more than 2.50cr passengers travel. Day by day, the number of passengers has been on the rise.
Recently, a situation arose where the passengers did not have enough space to stand in the general compartments in the express trains and they stood in the reserved coaches. This led to some issues for the passengers who had booked tickets. This created a huge debate and as a result a suggestion was made to increase the number of non a/c coaches for ordinary passengers.
In this scenario, the Indian Railways have plans to manufacture 10000 non air-conditioned coaches for the sake of common passengers.
According to the officials it was clear that the railways have planned to manufacture 10000 non a/c coaches in the next 2 year and out of those as many as 5300 would be public coaches.
They have mentioned that for 2024-25, 2605 Amrit Bharat coaches, 1470 non a/c Amrit Bharat sleeper coaches,323 SLR coaches, 32 high volume parcel coaches and 55 pantry car coaches.
For 2025-26, 2710 Amrit Bharat coaches, 1910 non a/c Amrit Bharat sleeper coaches, 514 SLR coaches, 200 High parcel coaches and 110 pantry carpets have been planned. The passengers need have been taken into consideration for the manufacture of the additional coaches.
