A subway on the popular Anna Salai in Chennai is grabbing attention now!!
The GCC has started the painting work for this subway that is connected with Wallajah Road and Ellis Road. As a part of many beautification projects that have been going on in the Chennai city, work on the subway on Anna Salai would be carried out. This was brought out by a few senior officers belonging to GCC.
Various beautification projects in Chennai are construction of fountains, creation of roadside parks and painting of walls etc. Now, subways are often neglected by the public due to poor conditions but after the makeover many would start using the subway.
It must not be forgotten that GCC recently was involved in a few beautification works at Guindy bus stand, Thiru vi Ka Nagar bus stand and in some places belonging to zones like Adyar, Alandur etc. Point is that a coloured fountain was built on the traffic island connecting Taluk Office Road and Raj Bhavan.
