Heavy rains lashed Chennai and its surrounding areas the day before yesterday and normalcy was disrupted. The news now is that despite heavy rains Aavin has supplied 16 lakh litres of milk to its customers in Chennai and surrounding areas on that day. This has met the important demands of the residents. It is known to us that Aavin was established in 1958 and is a TN state government`s cooperative.
It was revealed by the press release from the MD of Aavin Mr Vineeth that following the intensification of NE monsoon Aavin Company has taken serious steps to ensure uninterrupted milk supply to the residents in Chennai and nearby places. Many steps have been taken by Aavin in the last 2 days regarding uninterrupted supply of milk.
The press release added that to meet the demands of the public arrangements were made to supply milk continuously to the residents through 201 contract vehicles and supply milk products through 231 contract vehicles. As per the needs, milk, milk powder and milk packets were also brought from other districts.
It must be recalled that Aavin has been distributing 14.50 lakh litres of milk to the customers every day. Aavin was appreciated as it supplied 16 lakh litres of milk to the residents despite heavy rains on Tuesday, 15th October. Point is that Aavin works for the interests of the people in all situations. Therefore, all types of milk is being distributed by Aavin Company to the public without any reservations or issues etc.
