A special Teachers Eligibility Test for visually-challenged unemployed candidates with B Ed degrees would be conducted by Tamil Nadu government. The state teachers Recruitment Board would conduct the test. The school education department would take steps to train these candidates and their scribes to clear the special TET through District Institute of Education and Training across the state.
Post Graduate candidates (a total of 200 visually challenged candidates) would be employed in the backlog vacancies, once they clear the TRB test for PG candidates.
As for colleges, government would take steps to employ 100 visually-challenged candidates who have cleared National eligibility Test and State Level Eligibility Test in backlog vacancies and vacancies which would arise in future.
